Hi, I’m Juls, your Yoga teacher at my Bespoke, purpose built yoga space Yoga by Juls. This space was manifested over a decade ago from a dream to create a harmonious welcoming space for people to explore yoga primarily and now Pilates.
My greatest wish is for you to meet yourself on the mat as you ARE. Not last week, or last year or 2 days from now, but in this moment. Moving past any limiting beliefs about what you should look like or how bendy you should be. Allowing yourself to respond to the feedback you feel posture to posture, breath to breath, to be led by that feeling and be…YOU. Guiding you towards movements that resonate with your unique body rhythm is my goal, backed up by over 30 years of being in the Health and Fitness Industry.
My background started with gymnastics as a youngster. Becoming a Group Fitness Instructor with Les Mills in Body Pump, Core, Body Balance and Personal Training. Skiing, Biking, Body Building, Ultra Marathon and Trail Running have opened up a huge understanding of the Human Body and its capabilities. Not only around creating movement patterns but the way to build up strength, balance and mobility, into recovering well so we can keep moving through all the seasons of our life. From puberty and post-partum through to midlife, menopause and beyond.
Yoga Training officially became financially available to me once my two children were older. I completed my initial 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Katie Lane in 2017 and have evolved from there. Yin Yang/Yoga Nidra and Shoulder Anatomy Training with Jo Phee quickly followed in February 2019. The pathway to understanding our evolving bodies as we move through life keeps me curious and continuing at least two trainings a year to upskill my knowledge to support you, my students. In 2024 I completed my Mat Pilates training with Stotts Pilates and my Certificate in Teaching Yoga for Menopause & Beyond with yinstinct yoga. Investing in pure crystal sound bowls saw me complete Level 1 & 2 Sound Bath training with Rainbow Sounds. The healing properties of sound waves to brain waves is incredible, reducing stress, allowing you to sleep better and self regulate emotions.
I am here to support you as you explore your body and mind, offering a safe space where age, gender or abilities hold no currency. We work as a collective, a community of like-minded individuals to explore mindful movement and inner calm. Let’s discover the magic of yoga, movement and Pilates together.
